Each country has the typical habits in the night of Midsummer. Maybe the spanish one is the most famous and the most followed by people (the weather helps always).

In Spain is usual to go to the beach to do a barbacue at evening and when is twelve o clock, tradition says that you have to wet your feet or get in the water while you are asking for a dream. Some people really believe in this tradition but to see those people enjoying and happy for a while, that is the magic of the “San Juan” night.

The summer is comming, it is just a beggining.

Mahinur Özdemir was yesterday the main person in the parlament. It was the first woman with veil elected by people to take part of the Parliament in Belgium. It is not the first muslim who is elected, but it is the first with “hiyab”. With only 26 years old, is the youngest member of the Parliament, but now it´s new around the media because of the veil.

“The voters are the ones who have brought me this far, but this does not mean I will work only for some, I will work for everyone”, Özdemir said after the elections.

That action shows Belgium as a country with integration and multiculturalism. The regional parliament in Brussels yesterday erupted in applause when Mahinur Özdemir took the oath of office on the Belgian Constitution.

The last european elections have left a lot of to talk and to do. It was one of the worst elections in European Union on participation of the people way. The three governments have decided to alternate their presidencies to make the citizens to feel that Europe really matter. From 2010, Spain, Belgium and Hungary will start with alternatives presidencies.

“In the economical and financial crisis way, those presidencies will have the importance of acting in a coordination between each others. Europe needs that to bring insitutions closer to citizens and promot a social and competitive Europe”, that were the words of the spanish government.

European Union is going through a complicated situation.

It was last thursday. A father forgot his child, of eleven months old, in his car. He had to go to work after taking his daughter to kindergarden. The victim spent the whole day in the car, parked at his father´s job, in a day that the temperature was about 21 degrees. According to the local media, the death was because of “dehydration and heatstroke”.

It happened in the industrial zone of Haasrode, in Leuven.

Since the beginning of the history, Israel and Palestine are fighting for the territory of Middle East, from Lebanon to Egypt, crossing Syria and Jordanian. The last news that world has is that an Israel village with most Arabian habitants living suffered another trouble.  That, unfortunately, is not a new anymore.
The problems between those countries or religions or races could be discussing for a long time, because it starts thousand years ago.  We don’t need to go back so far in time. This year, we saw the Israel army attacked without piety to the Palestinian people.

Probably, we will never see peace in those countries.

The name Kimberley Vlaminck has gone over around the world in few days. It happened in Kortrijk (West-Vlaanderen). A teenager of 18 years old asked for a tattoo in her face. It supposed to be three stars in her face (little bit up of the eye). According to her declaration, she fell sleep and when she woke up, her face was with 56 stars.

Since some years ago the world is going down in the financial and economical way. We used to hear lot of things about jobless and bad situations in most parts of the planet (Middle East, Africa…), but since the beggining of the last year the real crisis come to Occident. The market of US went down and Europe lives the worst crisis since the Second World War. But there are things still unfair. How someone could explain the money that is managment in the world of football or Formula One?

Last week, we could see that Real Madrid has paid 96 million euros for ONE PLAYER. People who like football know that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best football player, but with the things are right now, is a exaggeration.

As I said before, other example of the unfairs things is the Formula One. There is no Formula One driver who earns less than 3 or 4 millions per year (Fernando Alonso is the most charged). People know that also the Formula One “circus” earns lot of money for the TV or publicity, but also there are more than thousands of million people in the world who are living with less than one euro per day.

At the same time 20 people who drive a car during two hours each two weeks, earn millions of euros.

World will never rise if this kind of things continue in this way.

Besides being the best, Fernando Alonso is the most charged.

Nowadays with the crisis, population in touristic zones, as Málaga, will be able to see the difference comparing with other years. During the winter, the “Costa del Sol” could see how crisis affect the most valuable asset that it has: the tourism. Thousands of people less didn´t came on vacation to this part of the mediterranean coast.

Despite the crisis and fewer people travelled to Málaga, the estimations of the Costa del Sol government is that the number of belgian tourist will rise almost 10% this year. The reasons is, mostly, that the belgians that this year will go to the south of Spain were in another touristic destinations, which are more expensive than Málaga.

Interior ministers of the European Union are expected to approve today a cooperation protocol with the United States to enable the Union to accommodate between 40 and 60 prisoners of Guantanamo on the United States that has no pending charges.

The decision is a gesture of support for Barack Obama now that their plans to close the prison difficulties in Congress and the public. Spain could get at least four of those released.

Of the European Parliament elections Sunday will be that the EU ratify the appointment of new president of the European Commission. The election of the Chief Executive Community should be at the European Council of 18 and 19.

In the EU quotas and the political balance, the discussions between Prime Ministers and Government on the confirmation of hypothetical José Manuel Durão Barroso must be accompanied by other institutional charges other trumpery, including the president of the Union for which only the name of Tony Blair jumped into the arena.
